Lullaby ii

Through my experiences in big stadiums and watching pop music concerts, I began to question and re-examine the significance of being in the audience. For this piece, I directed my attention to my fellow audience members at a concert, who used their phone flash to light up an entire stadium for their favorite “Star”. The result is the illusion of a starry night. At that moment, there was no sound, I became fully engrossed by the visuals of the man made “stars” and the memories associations they bring forth. As part of the audience to this spectacle, my experience was shaped by my memories and the piece Lullaby is an attempt to share it. Music can shape people’s experience.

在大型体育场馆观看现场演唱会的各种经历，让我开始重新提问与审视作为现场观众的意义。这件作品中，我把注意力放在跟我一样作为演唱会现场观众的人们身上，他们各自举起手中的手机，并用闪光灯为喜欢的“明星”点亮了整个巨型表演空间，幻化成一片星空。演唱会表演现场的声音从我耳边消失，那一刻无比安静。我完全被人造“星空”和它们所带来的回忆所吸引。作为这一星空奇观的现场观众之一，这一体验被我的记忆再次塑造，我哼唱出的摇篮曲试图分享这种经历。声音会塑造人们的体验。
