Luxin Zhang is an interdisciplinary artist and curator who works in the fields of performance, video, sound and photography. As a classically trained vocalist, she creates video and performance that seek to break down the hierarchy of the stage by bringing the performance to the viewer, and playing with audience expectation. Widening the lens of performance and stage to include original audience, gallery viewers and mundane “off stage” scenes expands the spectrum of a song’s larger subliminal language.

Luxin Zhang received her MFA from Syracuse University in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. She has exhibited and performed both internationally in galleries, museums, concert halls, including Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse; David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. Her work was also shown at Light Work in Syracuse, N.Y. She was an artist collective at Vox Populi Gallery in Philadelphia, PA 2018-2019

Luxin currently holds the position of Head of Secondary and PD Coordinator at Yew Wah School of Shanghai Changning in Shanghai, overseeing both Academic and CUGO departments. Additionally, she teaches A Level Digital Media and Design and Art Portfolio courses. Her students have achieved the Top One in China for passing the Cambridge CAIE Digital Media and Design Exam in 2023 June. Over 100 of her art students have successfully gained admission to prestigious institutions such as Parsons, SVA, SAIC, UAL, GSA, CalArts, ACCD, Pratt, and SU. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she was honored with the Forbes China Art Education Outstanding Art Teacher Award in 2023.

张露心是一位以录像、声音、行为、摄影、影像装置为媒介进行实验的跨媒体影像表演艺术创作者。她从小跟随母亲学习声乐表演艺术，她创作的跨媒体影像作品则试图打破传统舞台表演观念与观众观演期待。进而延展到观众和日常“舞台”场景之下的镜头语言与跨越到边界之外的声音表演，让她在空间、影像、声音以及东西方文化背景之间，探究与展现多重观演关系。

张露心于2018年获取美国雪城大学视觉与表演艺术学院MFA艺术摄影硕士学位。她在2018、2019年出任美国费城Vox Populi艺术馆艺术家成员及展览部主席。她的作品在美国Everson Museum of Art伊弗森艺术博物馆， 美国Light Work摄影艺术中心，美国纽约林肯中心，费城Ice Box Project等艺术机构展演和放映。2019年她受邀参加美国Vermont Studio Center，Atlantic Center for the Arts 等国际艺术家驻留项目，于同年参与组织2019 Common Field Philadelphia Convening全美独立艺术机构年度论坛。

她目前在上海耀华长宁校区担任中学部主任和PD协调员，负责监管各个学术部门和CUGO部门。此外，她还是A Level影像与数字媒体设计的教师。她的学生通过剑桥CAIE考试并荣获了中国第一名的优异成绩。她的100多名艺术学生成功地被Parsons、SVA、SAIC、UAL、GSA、CalArts、ACCD、Pratt、SU等世界知名艺术学院和大学录取。2023年，她获得了福布斯中国艺术教育优秀艺术教师奖。
